About the Role

The Generations Multi Academy Trust is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our teams at both Goffs-Churchgate Academy and Goffs Academy. These are exciting opportunities to make a real difference in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN), supporting their academic progress and personal development. You will play a key role in supporting students both in and out of lessons, helping them to achieve their full potential academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide targeted support for students with SEN, implementing strategies from Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Assist individuals and groups of students in their learning, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Establish supportive relationships with students, fostering inclusion and acceptance.
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support sessions as part of personalised learning programmes.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to plan and implement appropriate materials and strategies.
  • Monitor and track the impact of interventions to ensure progress.
  • Contribute to EHCP reviews and ensure all necessary support is in place.
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times.

Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess excellent organisational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Demonstrate a positive, ‘can do’ attitude and a commitment to helping every student fulfil their potential.
  • Have knowledge of curriculum content and strategies to support behaviour modification.
  • Be flexible, resourceful, and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
