As our new Learning Support Assistant, you will fully embody and champion these values, bringing a trauma-informed perspective and a passion for building meaningful, supportive relationships to the very heart of your practice.
This role is suited to an experienced and proactive practitioner who has a strong understanding of supporting pupils across the primary phase, including those with additional needs. The successful candidate will be reflective, collaborative and driven by a belief that every child can succeed, regardless of background or starting point.
Key responsibilities:
Follow the school’s vision and values
Support high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom
Deliver targeted interventions and small group support
Provide effective support for pupils with SEND and additional needs
Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of all learners
Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and a strong sense of belonging
Work in partnership with teachers, families and external professionals
The successful candidate will:
Hold a relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Have experience working with primary-aged children
Demonstrate a strong understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs
Share The Elliot Foundation’s values of equity, collaboration and high ambition
Have high expectations for learning, behaviour and wellbeing
Be committed to continuous professional learning and reflective practice
Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare
