Job description

Hall Green Infant School is looking for a permanent and temporary Level 2 SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September 2026, to work with children who have a range of additional needs and require extra support.

Applicants should be experienced Teaching Assistants and have prior experience of working with children who require one-to-one and small group support. They should be committed, hardworking and enthusiastic, and flexible in their ability to support learning.

It is essential that you can demonstrate experience of:

supporting children to achieve their best across the curriculum

experience of working with infant aged children

engagement with young people to motivate them to learn

working with children with SEND

working on 1:1 or small group SEND interventions

We are looking for someone who:

  • has the relevant L2 TA qualifications
  • has experience of, or a strong interest in, working with pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • be adaptable, proactive and patient, with a calm and positive approach to challenges.
  • demonstrate a caring and nurturing attitude, creating a safe and supportive learning environment
  • be willing to assist with personal care when required
  • have the ability to form positive relationships with children, parents, staff and external agencies;
  • be committed to keeping our children safe;
