Job Title: Teaching Assistant (part-time)

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and play a key role in ensuring high quality teaching and learning for all pupils across the school.

Key responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of pupils and use detailed knowledge and skills to support pupils' learning
- Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
- Support pupils consistently whilst recognising and responding to their individual needs
- Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities
- Organise and manage appropriate learning environments and resources
Pay, Hours and Contract:
- Points 5-6 (FTE £25,583- £25,989 per annum)
- Approximately £15,031 pro-rata
- 26 hours
- 4 days per week , 8.30am-4.30pm (Wednesday as non-work day)
- Permanent Contract
Qualifications and skills:
- A minimum qualification of GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (previously Grade C) or above, or an equivalent qualification
- NVQ Level 2 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent
- Have experience of working with children and/or as a Teaching Assistant
- Principles and practices of high-quality teaching and learning
- Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and members of the community
- High levels of adaptability and flexibility
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
