Wilson Stuart School is an Ofsted designated outstanding all age (2 – 25 years) Special School which provides very high-quality education for 282 pupils and young people who have physical, intellectual disabilities and/or complex needs.

About the role:

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, independence and personal development, working closely with teachers and our multi‑disciplinary staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing classroom support to enhance teaching and learning
  • Offering pastoral support and building positive relationships with pupils
  • Assisting with moving, handling and positioning
  • Supporting pupils with personal care needs where required

Due to the complex physical needs of our students, experience or willingness to assist with moving, handling, and personal care is essential.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Has strong communication and written skills
  • Shows high expectations for learning and behaviour
  • Is committed to making a positive difference every day
  • Works well as part of a supportive, energetic team
