Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Opportunity

St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice. This role provides a fantastic pathway to develop your skills while supporting young children in their early learning and development within a nurturing, faith-led school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the learning, play, and development of children in the Early Years setting, helping them build strong foundations for future learning.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Provide pastoral care to promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and emotional development.
  • Work closely with teachers and experienced practitioners to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Support the observation, assessment, and recording of children’s progress.

This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience alongside structured training, enabling you to gain a recognised Level 3 qualification while making a meaningful difference in children’s lives.

Hours

  • 30 hours per week
  • 6 hours per day

Start Date

  • September 2026

Essential Skills & Experience

  • A genuine interest in working with young children in an early years setting.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from experienced practitioners.
  • Basic understanding of child development or a desire to gain knowledge through training.

Desirable Qualities

  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach when working with young children.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and support children’s learning through play.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to completing the apprenticeship programme.
  • Commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive early years environment.
