We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lunchtime Organiser SEN to join our fantastic team at Grange School.

This is a permanent position working 10 hours per week, term time only. The starting salary is £6,229 and the full time equivalent is £26,016 Grade 2.

Grange School is seeking caring, enthusiastic and reliable Lunchtime Organisers to join our dedicated team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) during the school day, helping them to enjoy a positive, safe and engaging lunchtime experience

About the role:

As a Lunchtime Organiser, you will play an important role in supporting pupils throughout the lunchtime period. Responsibilities include supervising pupils during lunch and recreation, supporting healthy eating, assisting with personal care needs where required, and helping to run engaging lunchtime activities and clubs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils in the dining hall and around the school site.
  • Assisting with feeding, toileting, changing and handwashing where required.
  • Encouraging independence, social interaction and positive behaviour.
  • Leading and supporting lunchtime clubs and activities, such as sports, arts and sensory activities.
  • Providing care and reassurance to pupils who are unwell or have minor accidents.
  • Working alongside teachers and support staff to ensure pupils' wellbeing and safety.
  • Supporting the safe use of specialist equipment following appropriate training.
