We are now looking to appoint a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team and help ensure our pupils enjoy a safe, calm, and positive lunchtime experience.

The Role

The successful candidate will supervise pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour both in the dining hall and playground.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise pupils in dining areas, playgrounds, and other school spaces during lunchtime
  • Ensure pupils move safely and behave appropriately when entering, queuing, and dining
  • Support pupils during mealtimes, including assisting with food, drinks, and minor spillages
  • Set up, clear, and maintain a clean and organised dining environment
  • Supervise and encourage safe, positive play and social interaction outdoors
  • Patrol school areas and escort pupils where required to ensure safety
  • Respond to incidents appropriately, including administering basic first aid if required
  • Ensure school safeguarding and security procedures are followed at all times

  • Ability to promote positive behaviour and act as a good role model
  • A proactive approach to supervising play and preventing incidents
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility for pupil safety and wellbeing
  • Ability to respond appropriately to minor accidents and incidents
  • An understanding of safeguarding and commitment to keeping children safe
  • A flexible and positive attitude, willing to support the wider school environment
