Job description
This important role involves working with the current team of Lunchtime Supervisors, supervising students across three lunch sittings each day, helping to create a safe, positive, and well-managed environment throughout the lunchtime period. A key aspect of this role is providing first aid support when required, maintaining accurate records of accidents and incidents, and ensuring that any medical, behavioural, or safeguarding concerns are reported and escalated promptly to the appropriate staff.
The ideal candidate will be approachable, observant, and able to communicate effectively with young people and staff alike. Previous experience working with children or young people would be advantageous, along with a current first aid qualification, although training and support will be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and wants to make a positive contribution to the school community.
The Earls High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will carry out pre-appointment checks including DBS and will disqualify any applicant where we consider the outcomes to be unsatisfactory. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974.
We are equally committed to ensuring that no applicant will be disadvantaged or discriminated against because of their protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
