About the Role
Chesterton Primary School and Nursery are seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled SEN teacher to join our inclusive team. This is a part-time (3 days per week) maternity cover post, working within our specialist provision / C&I centre.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with communication and interaction needs, ensuring every child can access learning and thrive.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of teaching pupils with SEND, particularly communication and interaction needs (e.g. Autism, speech and language difficulties)
- Demonstrates strong adaptive teaching and high expectations for all pupils
- Can create a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment
- Works effectively with support staff, external professionals and families
- Is committed to inclusion and positive behaviour approaches
- Has excellent communication, organisation and teamwork skills
