Employment Status:Part time, permanent

Working Hours: 7.5 hours per week, Term time only

Actual Salary: £4,289 pro rata, per annum

Full time equivalent salary: Support Staff Pay Scale Grade 1 £24,413

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a a reliable, flexible and practical individual. The successful candidate will support our school in assisting children in the dining room and supervising them during play.

Duties will include: assisting children in the dining hall with opening lunch boxes and cutting up food as appropriate; clearing tables and disposing of waste food and drink; supervising children in the hall and out on the playground and assist in overseeing games and activities for children, in particular indoors when weather prevents outdoor play.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children and is able to build positive relationships while effectively managing behaviour and maintaining a respectful learning environment

Possess good individual and team skills and be ready to deal with a variety of situations and challenges.

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.

At interview, candidates will be asked for photo identification and where applicable proof of qualifications. The Appointment is subject to DBS enhanced clearance plus 2 suitable professional references.
