Navigation Manager

Droylsden Academy · Manchester · Tameside

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Navigation Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our internal seclusion provision. The successful candidate will ensure that students are supervised appropriately, behaviour is managed consistently, and academy policies and procedures are applied fairly and effectively.

We are looking for a special person who combines warmth with high expectations and understands that effective behaviour management requires both consistency and compassion. You will be confident and regimented in your approach, while building positive relationships that enable students to make better choices and succeed.

We recognise that adverse childhood experiences can present significant barriers to education, behaviour and academic progress. The successful candidate will understand that some students require additional support, structure and encouragement during their time at school. You will be committed to helping these young people overcome barriers, develop resilience and take responsibility for their choices.

Our values of Politeness, Hard Work and Honesty are at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for someone who genuinely believes that these values help to develop young people of good character. Working with small groups of students, you will reinforce these principles, model the highest standards and help embed The Droylsden Way.

The Navigation Manager will also play an important role in the restorative process, supporting students to reflect on their behaviour, understand the impact of their choices and develop strategies to prevent poor behaviour from being repeated.

This is an important role for someone who wants to make a genuine difference. You will be joining a committed, talented and driven team who share a passion for helping every student succeed.

If you have the resilience, consistency, compassion and high expectations needed to thrive in this role,we would love to hear from you.
