About the role:
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in our brand-new nursery, that meets the needs of our diverse pupil community. This post offers the opportunity to:
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that accelerate progress in the Early Years
- Use assessment and formative feedback to adapt teaching to individual pupil needs.
- Support and contribute to whole-school initiatives such as OPAL play and UNICEF RRS to enhance pupils’ personal development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external partners to ensure strong pastoral support and to improve attendance and behaviour.
- Be part of a professional learning culture where reflection, development and teamwork are encouraged.
We are seeking someone who:
- Believes passionately that every pupil can make progress and is committed to inclusive practice that meets pupils where they are.
- Is resilient, reflective and adaptable — able to solve problems with a calm, “can do” approach.
- Demonstrates high expectations, strong behaviour management and a kind, respectful manner.
- Communicates effectively with pupils, parents and colleagues and works well as part of a team.
- Is keen to contribute to whole-school improvement priorities and to lead or support development in curriculum, attendance or pastoral work.
- Is motivated to continue professional learning and to share practice across the staff team.
- Has a minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and previous experience of working in a nursery
