Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated candidate with successful, school experience.
St Philip's is situated at the heart of Girlington, and we are proud of our strong relationships with our community, as our children are at the centre of every decision we make.
Our classrooms are bright, cheerful and welcoming. Our pupils are kind, polite and well-mannered.
We are fortunate to have a surprisingly spacious and green oasis for an inner-city location so our pupils can enjoy hard work but also safe outdoor play in our playgrounds, large school field and wildlife area.
School leadership and staffing is strong, experienced and stable and delivers high standards of teaching and learning with commitment and enthusiasm.
St Philip's is a one-form-entry Church of England primary academy, so we have a family feel, and know our pupils, parents, families and community well.
As part of the growing Bradford Diocesan Academies Trust (BDAT) across the Bradford District, we benefit from close working relationships, learning from and supporting each other.
You will have the educational and operational benefits of the Trust family of schools and be able to draw on shared expertise to challenge, support and give additionality.

- be responsible to the ABL and Headteacher from whom they will receive formal supervision and who will allocate work when necessary.
- be expected to work within established procedures and guidelines to prioritise day-to-day work, referring only exceptional or complex queries to senior staff, as much of the work is self-generating.
- Be expected to deputise in the absence of the ABL, allocating work/tasks to other team members to ensure continuation of essential services, making day-to-day decisions regarding workload organisation.
- provide prompt and effective information, advice and access to services provided by the academy to parents/carers, governors, community groups, pupils and other agencies.
- deal with requests for help and intervention, seeking guidance from and working in conjunction with senior/qualified professional staff on more complex requests.
- undertake promoting the academy to public and external agencies.
- provide support in the operation and maintenance of systems, processes and procedures relating to financial management, pupil administration, personnel, staff and site management.
- undertake other duties (from time-to-time) commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility defined in this job description.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
