We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed Outdoor Education Instructor or teaching equivalent to join us in supporting our amazing pupils. If you are seeking a new challenge, this could be the perfect opportunity.
Ravenswood School is an all‑age Special School for children with complex needs and SLD; many of our pupils have autism, ADHD or attachment disorder. In June 2023, Ofsted confirmed that Ravenswood continues to be a good school, one that is inclusive and has high aspirations for all its pupils.
Outdoor Education (OED) is an integral part of secondary education at Ravenswood School. It is intentionally inclusive and effective in engaging pupils in a wide range of activities. The aim of Outdoor Education is to develop pupils’ emotional resilience, self-esteem, confidence and trust as well as developing physical skills such as motor development, balance, strength and stamina. The Outdoor Education Instructor will be responsible for delivering safe, high quality outdoor learning with a focus on meeting individual outcomes.

- A passion for thinking creatively and delivering activities using sensory or alternative approaches?
- Drive to inspire others to take on new challenges?
- Motivation and drive to be a positive role-model for young people?
- Confidence in a variety of Outdoor and physical activity environments?
