Make a Difference. Build Relationships. Change Lives.

We are seeking compassionate, proactive and highly motivated Pastoral Officers for Attendance, Behaviour and Safeguarding to join our dedicated Engagement and Wellbeing Team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting students, families and staff, helping to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where every young person can thrive. Working closely with the Pastoral Managers and Senior Leadership Team, you will support improvements in attendance, behaviour, safeguarding and student engagement, ensuring barriers to learning are identified and addressed effectively.

The Role

You will:

  • Support students and families to improve attendance, behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Act as a key point of contact for students, parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Manage and monitor safeguarding, attendance and behaviour records and interventions.
  • Carry out home visits and work collaboratively with families to overcome challenges.
  • Contribute to safeguarding processes, multi-agency meetings and targeted support plans.
  • Promote positive behaviour through restorative approaches, student support and engagement activities.
  • Support attendance improvement strategies and help students successfully reintegrate into school.
  • Work alongside colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for vulnerable students.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience supporting children, young people and families.
  • Is passionate about safeguarding, inclusion and student wellbeing.
  • Can build positive and professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Has excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills.
  • Is resilient, empathetic and committed to helping young people succeed.
  • Works effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Why Join Us?

  • A rewarding role where you can make a genuine impact every day.
  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and safeguarding training.
  • The chance to contribute to a culture of high expectations, inclusion and success for all students.

If you are committed to helping young people overcome barriers, feel safe, attend regularly and achieve their full potential, we would love to hear from you. Join us and help transform lives through outstanding pastoral support.
