Job description
The working hours for this role are expected to be 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The start date for this role is Tuesday, 01 December 2026.
As the Pastoral & Behaviour Support Centre (PBSC) Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional pastoral, behavioural, social, and emotional support to help them succeed in school. Working closely with the Pastoral Team, teaching staff, families, and external agencies, you will coordinate and deliver targeted interventions, mentoring, and restorative approaches that promote positive behaviour and student wellbeing. The role involves managing the PBSC on a day-to-day basis, ensuring students remain engaged in learning while developing the skills and strategies needed to thrive both academically and socially. You will build strong relationships with students, parents and carers, providing guidance, encouragement, and effective communication to support positive outcomes. The successful candidate will be confident in supporting young people with a range of behavioural and emotional needs and will be committed to maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Strong organisational skills will be essential for monitoring interventions, maintaining records, and collaborating with colleagues to identify the most effective support for individual students. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and resilient professional who is passionate about improving the life chances of young people and promoting positive behaviour across the school community. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
