We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our friendly and supportive primary school team. The successful candidate will work assist in the provision and running of the after school club (Crew Club). Your role will provide an interesting and stimulating environment, to ensure the provision of care for children between the ages of 4 and 11 years who attend the club, meets the requirements of the Children's Act 1990 and ensuring that equal opportunities policies are adhered to. Hours of work 3.30-6.00pm.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • To support the day-to-day-organisation of the after school club (Crew Club), to provide an interesting and stimulating environment by organising resources and activities in a safe and caring environment. 
  • To provide full care of children within the provision, including receiving children and handing over to parents and carers at the end of the session. 
  • Maintain control and ensure behaviour meets positive expectations. 
  • Provide safe, creative and appropriate play activities. 
  • Administer first aid as appropriate. To prepare and serve healthy snacks and light meals, ensuring the kitchen area and equipment are clean and in line with food safety standards. 
  • Develop and foster good relationships between the club, parents, the federation and other related agencies attending meetings as required. 
  • To follow school and federation policies and procedures at all times to include but not limited to safeguarding, behaviour, and staff code of conduct.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • A commitment to supporting children to achieve their full potential
  • An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality
