Rednal Hill Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and committed teacher to join our dedicated team as a PPA Teacher for two days per week.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across Key Stage 2, delivering high-quality teaching and learning while supporting colleagues' Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time. We are looking for a practitioner who is passionate about providing engaging learning experiences and who can inspire children to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of classes across the school and will have specific responsibility for delivering:
- PSHE
- Religious Education
- Computing
- Spanish
These curriculum areas benefit from high-quality, established planning and resources. In addition, the successful candidate will be supported by an experienced Lead PPA Teacher, who will oversee and coordinate planning to ensure consistency and continuity across year groups.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in PSHE, RE, Computing and Spanish across Key Stage 2.
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Inspire pupils to develop curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
- Assess pupils' learning and provide feedback that supports progress.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, presentation and achievement.
- Work closely with class teachers to ensure continuity in pupils' learning.
- Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour expectations.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and work collaboratively as part of the teaching team.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning in KS2.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom management skills.
- Is organised, adaptable and able to work across different year groups.
- Has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Is enthusiastic about teaching PSHE, RE, Computing and Spanish.
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
