Job description
About the Role:
We are a thriving, local authority, 3-form entry primary school based across two beautiful campuses in the heart of Greenwich.
Are you a skilled, proactive tradesperson or experienced site practitioner looking to step up into a leadership role? We are seeking a fantastic Premises Leader to head up our dedicated site team.
This is a uniquely rewarding "working supervisor" role. You won’t just sit in an office; you will lead by example on the ground, managing a team of three Premises Assistants while actively getting stuck into the daily maintenance, DIY repairs, security, and cleaning operations of our school. Working closely under the guidance of our School Business Leader, you will take true ownership of our compliance, statutory checks, contractor management, and site safety, ensuring our dual-campus school remains an exceptional, inspiring environment for our children to learn in.
What we are looking for:
Proven experience in building maintenance, caretaking, or trade skills (carpentry, plumbing, painting).
The ability to organize, motivate, and line-manage a small team.
A proactive approach to Health & Safety compliance, risk assessments, and digital record-keeping.
Flexibility to work split shifts and a total commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
