With 50% EAL, 38% pupil premium, 22% SEND and an inclusive culture, we celebrate difference and believe every child has the right to an education that helps them thrive.
The role
We are seeking a happy, energetic and inspirational Qualified SEN Teacher to join our Inclusion POD. You will work closely with our SENCo, SEN Teaching Assistant and class teachers to plan and deliver high-quality, evidence-informed provision that accelerates learning and builds pupils’ confidence.
Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a range of small-group and one-to-one interventions (reading, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, handwriting, maths facts, self-regulation strategies).
Work alongside the SENCo to assess needs, set SMART targets and evaluate progress using school systems.
Co‑produce personalised plans with class teachers and TAs, ensuring the universal classroom offer is strengthened and reasonable adjustments are in place.
Model adaptive teaching strategies and support staff to use evidence-based approaches (scaffolding, structured routines, multisensory approaches).
Promote pupils’ independence, resilience and well‑being; teach metacognitive and self-regulation skills.
Maintain accurate records, contribute to reviews and attend multi-agency meetings as required.
Person specification — what we’re looking for
Qualified teacher with QTS and experience of teaching pupils with SEND in primary settings.
Strong subject knowledge in KS1 and/or KS2 maths and English and experience delivering intervention programmes.
Skilled in assessing needs, writing effective learning targets and evidencing progress.
Confident working alongside SENCo and TAs to develop inclusive practice across the school.
A positive, creative and reflective practitioner who builds warm relationships and high expectations.
Commitment to our school values and to ensuring every pupil is enabled to flourish.
We offer
A wonderfully supportive, friendly and ambitious team.
Time and professional development to lead and evaluate SEND provision.
A highly inclusive school community where staff wellbeing and collaborative working are prioritised.
Main pay scale salary plus access to trust continuing professional development.
