Solihull Sixth Form College is a large, culturally diverse College specialising in A Levels, T levels and Level 3 BTEC qualifications, and is part of the Summit Learning Trust.
You will play a vital role in supporting the provision of high quality Physics and vocational Science teaching in the college. You will be required to look after laboratory equipment, set up lessons and support teachers within the department. You will work closely with the Senior technician and teachers. You should be flexible enough to support other members of the technician team when needed.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about practical work and highly skilled in their understanding of health and safety, chemicals, equipment and processes. They will also be enthusiastic about working with young people.
The posts require education to A level or equivalent in relevant science subject(s) together with GCSE Maths and English. Recent experience of laboratory work in a school or college environment is essential.
