The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate and highly organised SEN Learning Leader to join our dedicated SEND team and play a key role in supporting the progress, wellbeing and inclusion of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Working closely with the Assistant Head SENDCo, you will provide administrative, organisational and operational support to ensure high-quality provision for pupils with SEND. You will coordinate review processes, support learning and teaching activities, liaise with families and external agencies, and help ensure that pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SEND practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to making a positive difference to the lives of young people.

Core Responsibility

    • SEND Administration and Coordination
    • EHCP Annual Reviews and SEND Review Processes
    • Pupil Support and Intervention Delivery
    • Teaching Assistant Coordination and Team Support
    • Parent, Carer and External Agency Liaison
    • Monitoring of SEND Provision and Pupil Progress
    • Safeguarding and Inclusion

    We are looking for someone who:

    • Has experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
    • Understands the SEND Code of Practice and principles of inclusive education
    • Has experience of working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals.
    • Demonstrates excellent organisational, administrative and record-keeping skills.
    • Can communicate confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
    • Has the ability to organise and lead review meetings and contribute effectively to pupil support planning.
    • Is able to support pupils with a range of educational, social, emotional and behavioural needs.
    • Shares our commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and high aspirations for every pupil.

    Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning, SEND, education or a related field would be desirable. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) would be advantageous but is not essential. Further information can be found in the attached Job Description and Person Specification.
