SEN Support Assistant with Lunchtime supervisor duties

Job description
We are looking to appoint a committed SEN support Assistant. We are seeking someone who has ambition and confidence, as well as wanting to develop their skills within a school. The role will involve working with pupils in our dedicated SEN space that require behavioural, educational or emotional support and supervising the children at lunchtime (30 mins per day).

Main purpose of role:
To assist and support pupils with special educational, social, emotional and behaviour difficulties.
To work under the instruction/guidance of senior/teaching staff to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching and to help raise standards of achievement for all pupils.
To work either in or out of the classrooms to support the child as directed by the class teacher, SENCo or member of senior leadership in order to meet the needs of specific children / groups of children.

The position is 30 hours per week as a SEN Teaching Assistant and 2.5 hours per week as a lunchtime supervisor for 38 weeks per year on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2027. Salary stated is full time equivalent and will be paid pro rata.
