About the Role

Working pattern:

  1. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 08:45 – 15:00
  2. Tuesday: 08:45 – 16:00
  3. Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  4. We support flexible working and will consider part-time hours, as long as availability includes the beginning and/and end of each working day, which are essential for this role.

In this role, you will:

  1. Support pupils with SLD, PMLD and ASD in class and across the school
  2. Assist with learning activities, therapy programmes and individual targets (IEPs)
  3. Take part in enrichment activities, including swimming, PE, community visits and horse riding
  4. Provide personal and intimate care where required
  5. Promote positive behaviour, wellbeing and independence
  6. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, families and multidisciplinary teams

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

  1. Calm, patient and resilient, with a positive attitude
  2. A team player who is motivated to learn and develop
  3. Experienced in working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, etc.)
  4. Ideally familiar with supporting pupils with EHCPs or additional needs

Qualifications:

  1. GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent) – desirable
