Want to make a difference to young people?

Are you ready to embark on a rewarding journey within an educational community that values diversity, encourages collaboration, and celebrates excellence?

Are you a highly organised administrator with a passion for making a difference to young people? We are seeking a committed and proactive SEND Administrator to join our dedicated SEND team.

In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective delivery of SEND provision across the academy. Working closely with staff, families and external agencies, you will help coordinate interventions, manage SEND records and communications, support review processes, and contribute to ensuring every student receives the support they need to thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills who can manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records and build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience of administrative work and strong ICT skills are essential, while experience within an educational or SEND setting would be advantageous.

At The Oldham Academy North, you will join a team driven by the values of thinking big, doing the right thing and showing team spirit. If you are passionate about inclusion, enjoy working collaboratively and want to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of young people, we would love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SEND team, ensuring the efficient delivery of SEND provision across the academy.
  • Maintain accurate SEND records, update the provision map and track interventions to support student progress and budget monitoring.
  • Act as a key point of contact for families, managing SEND communications, parental enquiries and attendance-related contact for SEND students.
  • Coordinate SEND processes, including referrals, review deadlines, meetings, external agency documentation and diary management.
  • Support the wider SEND team through timetable coordination, data management, daily briefings and ensuring appropriate support arrangements are in place for students.

Pay range: SCP6-12 - £23,612.57 - £25,982.89 - FTE: £26,847.00 - £29,542.00 - 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, parents and external agencies.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and other IT systems, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage data effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Knowledge of SEND processes and systems, including experience of administrative work; previous experience in a SEND or educational setting is desirable
