SEND provision only has impact when students receive the right support at the right time and staff have the information they need to respond effectively. As SEND Manager, you will lead the administrative coordination of SEND processes, ensuring accurate records, compliant statutory procedures and effective communication that supports positive outcomes and wellbeing for students with SEND. Working closely with the SENDCO, you will play a central role in maintaining high-quality provision, coordinating support across stakeholders and ensuring that SEND systems and processes operate efficiently and consistently

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the coordination and administration of SEND provision, ensuring statutory and non-statutory processes are completed accurately, compliantly and within required timescales to support high-quality outcomes for students with SEND.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and up-to-date SEND records, registers, provision maps and associated systems, ensuring information is effectively shared to support continuity, safeguarding and informed decision-making
- Coordinate annual reviews, Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment processes, referrals and external agency involvement, ensuring robust documentation, clear communication and compliance with local authority, national and JCQ requirements.
- Support teaching and learning by ensuring colleagues have access to accurate SEND information, student needs and support strategies that enable effective planning and delivery of appropriate provision.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with students, families, colleagues and external professionals, acting as a key point of contact and supporting a coordinated approach to SEND provision and inclusion.
- Support the SENDCO in maintaining oversight of SEND provision, managing meetings, coordinating communications and contributing to continuous improvement across SEND practices and processes.
- Ensure effective administration of access arrangements and associated records, supporting compliance requirements and facilitating smooth transitions for students moving to further education settings.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and Trust by upholding safeguarding responsibilities, professional standards and collaborative working practices that support a positive culture for students and staff.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Holds a relevant qualification, or equivalent experience, in SEND, education or administration, together with Level 2 qualifications or equivalent in English and mathematics.
- Has strong knowledge of SEND processes, inclusive practice and the needs of students with SEND, with a commitment to promoting their wellbeing and participation.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with colleagues, parents, carers and external professionals and communicate SEND information clearly and sensitively
- Has highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple processes and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Can work confidently with ICT systems and student information records to support data management, provision mapping and effective communication.
- Works collaboratively while also demonstrating initiative, discretion, resilience and sound judgement when handling sensitive information and situations
- Is committed to professional development, safeguarding, equality and maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct.
