Job title: SEND Teaching Assistant in the Additionally Resourced ProvisionHours: 31.25 hours per week, 8:30am to 3:05pm (30 minutes for lunch) Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year Location: Crofton infant School

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our Additionally Resourced Provision, supporting pupils with special educational needs. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, promote independence, and help pupils access learning in a safe and inclusive environment. The role involves assisting with personalised learning activities, supporting communication and social development, and ensuring each child’s wellbeing and progress are at the heart of everything you do.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting pupils’ learning, wellbeing and social development
  • Delivering targeted interventions and monitoring progress
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence and inclusion
  • Assisting with classroom activities, resources and assessments
  • Liaising with staff, professionals and families to support pupil progress
