What We Are Looking For
A qualified teacher (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent classroom practice.
Possession of the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (NASENCO) or the new National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators (NPQ LEND) (or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment).
Deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the new White Paper and its practical application in a primary setting.
An empathetic communicator who builds strong, trust-based relationships with families and staff.
A proactive problem-solver who remains calm under pressure and fiercely advocates for children.
An advocate for inclusion who can build on and improve SEND practice across the school.
Someone who can build strong collaborative relationships with parents, pupils, staff and external agencies.
