About our school

Seer Green CE is a one‑form‑entry Church of England primary set in beautiful grounds, service a local village community. We are a warm school which sets high‑expectations of all. We follow the OFSTED inspection framework and are committed to high-quality, ambitious curriculum and provision for all pupils.

About the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and maintain day‑to‑day SEND provision and records, including support for pupils in class and small groups
  • Advise and support teachers using the graduated approach and implement effective interventions
  • Be the key contact for parents/carers and external agencies, supporting EHCP processes and multi‑agency collaboration
  • Oversee deployment and development of support staff, ensuring interventions are monitored and reviewed
  • Ensure statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act are met, and keep the SEND policy up to date
  • Work with senior leaders and governors to report on SEND provision and contribute to school improvement

This role is central to helping every pupil access our broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum and to ensuring our school continues to be a nurturing place where children can achieve their fullest potential.

About you (the ideal candidate)

We welcome colleagues who are committed, reflective and collaborative. The person we’re looking for will typically demonstrate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status and experience of teaching in primary phases
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (2015) and the Equality Act, and experience implementing graduated SEND support
  • The ability to plan, deliver and evaluate targeted interventions and to use data to track pupil progress
  • Excellent communication skills with children, families and professionals; calm, non‑confrontational behaviour management
  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and the wellbeing of pupils and staff
  • A flexible, resilient approach with an appetite for professional development and leadership growth

A SENDCo qualification is desirable (see person specification) but we also value proven experience and a proactive, strategic mindset.
