Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and highly organised Senior ICT Technician to join our team and play a key role in delivering an outstanding ICT service across the school. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and proactive individual with a passion for technology, excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to providing exceptional customer support. Working closely with staff, students and external partners, the successful candidate will help maintain and develop our ICT infrastructure, ensuring that systems are secure, reliable and effective in supporting teaching, learning and business operations. We are looking for someone with energy, initiative and a determination to succeed; a professional who can work independently, prioritise competing demands and contribute positively to a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. In return, we offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a school community that values innovation, continuous improvement and professional development.

The working hours will be 37 per week, 8.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8.00 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. on Friday. This full-time role will be based at Southlands High School, however as we are part of the Trust, there may be occasions when you will be required to work at other schools within the Trust.

We encourage applicants to apply through MyNewTerm. Late applications will not be considered.

Applications will be considered as soon as they are received, and the closing date will be Monday 2 November 2026, 9am. Interview date to be confirmed. Online searches will be carried out on shortlisted candidates (in line for the KCSIE 2026 guidance).
