SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN

Salary: NJC Scale SO1, Points 23 to 25 (£34,434 to £36,363 per annum FTE). Actual salary £34,434 per annum on point 23.

Contract: Permanent. 37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 16.00 and Friday 08.00 to 15.30. 52 weeks a year

Are you an experienced IT professional ready to take the next step in your career? Comberton Village College is seeking a Senior Technician to help lead and develop technology services that support outstanding teaching and learning and play a vital role in the success of the school.

What you will do

Lead and support a team of IT technicians

Provide third-line technical support and problem resolution

Manage and maintain servers, networks, hardware and software

Ensure cyber security, filtering and safeguarding systems remain robust

Support implementation of new technologies and Trust-wide projects

Provide technical advice and training to staff.

What we are looking for

Experience managing IT infrastructure, hardware and software services

Strong Microsoft technology skills including Windows and Microsoft 365

Knowledge of networking technologies including DNS, DHCP and switching

Leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

A proactive approach and passion for excellent customer service.
