Job description
(Salary equivalent to NHS Band 6)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team on a part-time basis, supporting children and young people with complex physical and medical needs. The role is advertised as 25 hours per week, term time only; we are committed to flexible working and welcome applications from candidates seeking working hours and days to support work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
This role offers the opportunity to deliver high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy practice within a specialist school environment. As part of an embedded multi-disciplinary team (MDT) you’ll collaborate daily with education, nursing, care and therapy colleagues in a planned, proactive environment enjoying senior autonomy.
The role will be responsible for managing a defined case load, contributing to students’ physical development, independence and participation across education and residential settings. You will build long term therapeutic relationships and see the impact of your work over time. Further responsibilities will include providing clinical supervision, mentoring and support to therapy assistants and contributing to service development and improvement initiatives.
About You:
We welcome applicants who have experience with complex paediatric needs, are confident managing a caseload independently and working with multi-disciplinary teams (MDT). You will be committed to continued professional development in line with the HCPC and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy standards.
Why Join Us:
- Work-life balance including school holidays off, no evenings, weekends or rota pressures
- Generous pension scheme & life cover
- Staff well-being sessions and support
- Retail discounts and subsidised meals
- Free on-site parking and refreshments
- Access to supervision and continuing professional development
- A supportive and experienced MDT with strong clinical leadership
