Senior Science Technician

Grade and Salary: Grade 4: £26,596 - £28,850 per annum (£29,542 - £32,046 FTE)

Working pattern: 37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time only plus 2 weeks)

The role:

Ashfield School are looking to appoint a proactive and organised Senior Science Technician to provide high-quality technical support across our Science Faculty. Working closely with teaching staff, you will prepare practical lessons, manage equipment and resources, maintain safe laboratory environments, oversee stock and chemical management, and lead on risk and COSHH assessments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong scientific knowledge and a commitment to supporting outstanding teaching and learning.

The person:

The successful candidate will have good subject knowledge and a passion for science. You will have a strong understanding of the health and safety requirements, excellent IT and communication skills and have the ability to manage your time effectively.
