Student and Family Welfare Lead

Blue Coat Church of England Academy · Walsall · Walsall

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our pastoral team, in a recently created, exciting role. The role covers the hours of 8:00am-3:40pm, term time plus 10 days. We are looking for a dedicated professional who is trained or prepared to train as a Designated Safeguarding Lead. The successful candidate will join our excellent team to continue our drive to support effective support to students and their families. This role will focus on developing good working relationships with students and families to encourage a culture of high attendance, enhancing a sense of belonging and reduce the impact on education which adverse family events can cause. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work closely with teams committed to building strong relationships, supporting student wellbeing, and promoting high levels of student attendance. It also offers the chance to become part of a friendly, welcoming, and successful school. We require staff who are excited by this opportunity and who are ready to embrace this challenge, supporting us in delivering a great local school for our local community. For all of us, staff, Governors, children and parents, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a difference to students’ lives.
