Joining our team means becoming part of a passionate, caring and forward-thinking group of educators and support staff. We work together to make a real difference in children’s lives and we are looking for individuals who share our values and believe in the power of education to transform futures.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant at Enfield Heights Academy, you’ll play an important role in helping pupils enjoy learning, build confidence and reach their potential. You’ll work closely with teachers to support classroom activities, encourage positive behaviour and make learning accessible to children with different abilities and needs, including those with SEND. If you’re passionate about working with children and want to make a real difference every day, we’d love to hear from you!
What we are looking for
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children, brings a positive attitude and is keen to help every pupil do their best.
Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a primary school.
A Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or an equivalent qualification.
Experience supporting children with SEND, EAL or other additional needs.
The ability to support small groups and work one-to-one with pupils.
A good understanding of child development, safeguarding and positive behaviour management.
Good communication skills and the ability to work well with teachers, pupils and parents.
A patient, caring and approachable attitude, with a genuine interest in helping children learn and grow.
GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
A First Aid or Paediatric First Aid qualification, or a willingness to undertake training.
If you’re enthusiastic, reliable and ready to make a difference in the classroom, we’d love to hear from you!

We are committed to being a supportive, caring and rewarding place to work and learn, and to being an employer of choice. A full overview of our offer, including staff benefits, our People Plan and what our staff say about working with us, can be found in the supporting documents attached.
