Teacher of Engineering - September 2026 start

Are you a dynamic and inspiring Teacher of Engineering looking to enthuse students about your subject and raise their achievement?

Join a forward-thinking Sixth Form at Royal Greenwich Trust School, where Engineering is a flagship subject within an ambitious and specialist curriculum. We are seeking a passionate Teacher of Engineering to deliver our Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, engaging students in a broad programme spanning engineering principles, product design and emerging technologies.

You will inspire learners to explore diverse engineering pathways and progress to higher education and careers, while teaching in outstanding, purpose-built facilities including specialist engineering workshops and a dedicated Sixth Form centre with modern classrooms, lecture theatre and collaborative learning spaces.

As a Teacher of Engineering, you will:

  • Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and engaging curriculum for students contributing to raising standards of student attainment.
  • Provide high‑quality teaching and effective pastoral support, creating a learning environment that enables all students to achieve their potential.
  • Monitor students’ progress and development and set expectations in relation to standards of achievement and the quality of learning and teaching.

We want to hear from you if you are:

  • A fully qualified teacher with evidence of QTS for secondary teaching.
  • Qualified to at least degree level in subject area and/or good A Levels or equivalent.
  • Unrelenting in your pursuit of excellence in all aspects of your practice
  • Successful in working with young people and securing the best outcomes for them
  • A flexible and proactive team player, ready to contribute to school life.
