Salary range: MPS/UPS (£32,916 - £51,048), unqualified pay range £22,601 - £35,259

Start date: September 2026

The position

We’re looking to appoint a highly motivated Teacher of Geography who can inspire our exceptional students and drive them forward to achieve even better results.

You will need to have a strong subject knowledge and be able to teach students of all abilities and ages. As well as this you will be highly organised with excellent communication and time management skills and will actively get involved with our ongoing efforts to become a fast-improving school.

This is also suitable for ECTS or apprenticeship available and will offer an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to raising standards and improving outcomes for young people.

We are seeking a passionate Geography graduate to join our Geography department via the Level 6 Teacher Apprenticeship. This allows you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while being embedded in a supportive school environment. You will receive a reduced teaching timetable (maximum 80%) to ensure dedicated time for your training and portfolio development.

Key Requirements:

A UK Honours degree or equivalent (2:2 or higher) in Maths or a related field. * (if not a related degree, then very strong subject knowledge is required)

GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent in English and Maths. Resilience and strong organisational skills to balance classroom teachingwith academic study.

The English department is forward thinking, quickly developing, improving and very supportive. Everything that we do is as a team and it is through our commitment to raising standards and expectations along with an engaging curriculum of students in the subject that we have already seen improvements and we look to build on these into the future.
