Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, proactive and inspiring Teacher of Maths to join the team at Noel Baker Academy. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed classroom practitioner who is passionate about mathematics and motivated by securing strong outcomes for pupils across the full age and ability range.
The successful candidate will plan, deliver and review high-quality Maths lessons which are appropriately matched to pupils’ needs, abilities and prior knowledge. You will use assessment effectively to identify gaps in learning, adapt teaching where required, and support pupils to make strong progress in their mathematical understanding, confidence and attainment.
Working as part of the Maths department, you will contribute to a positive and purposeful learning environment, promote high standards of numeracy and mathematical terminology, and support pupils to develop independence, resilience and a responsible attitude towards their learning. You will also contribute to intervention, enrichment and wider departmental activities where required, including support for pupils preparing for assessments and examinations.
This role would suit someone who is committed to inclusive education, has high expectations of behaviour and achievement, and is passionate about making a positive difference to the learning, confidence and future opportunities of young people. The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
