At The Langley Academy, we believe music is more than performance, it is a powerful tool for building confidence, enhancing communication and unlocking creativity. We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Music who is passionate about inspiring young musicians and who understand that exceptional music education is not defined by resources alone but by creativity, expertise and enthusiasm. We are looking for a teacher who can ignite curiosity, foster musical expression and create memorable learning experiences that encourage students to participate, perform and excel. You will have the opportunity to shape a department and build something meaningful. There is a possibility of an additional post holder responsibility for a suitably experienced candidate.
The successful candidate will have experience teaching at all Key Stages, maintain high professional and academic standards, remain up to date in terms of subject knowledge and pedagogical techniques to ensure that the faculty functions effectively as a team.
You will help shape a dynamic curriculum that inspires every student to express themselves and excel and provide an environment for music to thrive, including:
- State of the art theatres - a spacious, fully equipped purpose-built studio theatre
- Successful performance history - a show every year to include all-year groups. Most recently, a production of Matilda and Christmas and Summer Music Performances
- Power of Theatre - easy access to West End shows and home county theatres
- Strong links with other local schools and associations
