About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Whalley Range 11-18 High School as a Teacher of Science and make a meaningful difference to the lives of young people. You will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, ensuring all students, regardless of background or ability, are supported to achieve their full potential. Working within a collaborative faculty, you will contribute to curriculum development, use evidence-informed teaching strategies, and play an active role in monitoring progress and raising achievement.

Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to the wider life of the school through form tutoring, enrichment opportunities, safeguarding responsibilities and school events. About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher with Qualified Teacher Status, excellent subject knowledge and a passion for science education. You will be an effective classroom practitioner who can motivate and challenge students, adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs, and create a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed. A strong understanding of curriculum, assessment and current educational practice will enable you to secure excellent outcomes for learners.

You will be a committed team player who shares our dedication to equality, inclusion and safeguarding. With excellent organisational and communication skills, you will be resilient, ambitious and eager to continue your own professional development.
