Knotty Ash Primary School is seeking a committed and specialist Teacher of the Deaf to join our highly regarded Deaf Resource Base (DRB). Working as part of a skilled and supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and enabling Deaf pupils to thrive both academically and socially.
About the RoleYou will:
- Deliver specialist teaching tailored to Deaf pupils’ individual language and learning needs
- Work collaboratively with mainstream staff to provide an inclusive, broad and balanced curriculum
- Support Deaf pupils within mainstream classrooms and lead reverse inclusion opportunities
- Assess, monitor and track progress, setting targeted interventions to accelerate outcomes
- Contribute to maintaining a positive Deaf identity and inclusive school culture
Knotty Ash Primary School is a welcoming, one-form entry school with a strong community ethos. Our Deaf Resource Base supports up to 19 pupils, and we are proud that all children learn British Sign Language as part of school life.
