We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher (SEN) to join our fantastic team at Prospect House Primary Specialist School

This is a permanent, full time role on Teaching terms offering MPS-UPS plus SEN allowance, to start on 1st September 2026.

This is a school where specialist practice matters and where experienced teachers can truly make their mark.The Opportunity As our pupil numbers increase, we are seeking an experienced and confident SEN teacher who is ready to contribute to and help shape our high-quality specialist provision in a growing school.

This role is ideal for a skilled practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who:

  • Has substantial experience working with pupils with severe, profound and/or complex learning difficulties
  • Understands communication needs, sensory regulation and personalised curriculum design
  • Is passionate about embedding an“I can do”culture
  • Wants to influence practice beyond their own classroom
  • Thrives in a collaborative, reflective and values-driven environment
  • Demonstrates consistently strong classroom practice
  • Can be reflective, resilient and solutions-focused
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and multi-agency professionals

You will play a key role in strengthening teaching capacity, modelling excellent practice and contributing to whole-school development.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver a highly personalised curriculum tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
  • Plan, teach and assess learning in line with pupils’ complex needs
  • Create a safe, inclusive and inspiring classroom environment
  • Support and model effective specialist practice
  • Work closely with therapists, families and external agencies
  • Contribute to self-evaluation and continuous school improvement
