Teaching Assistant - Resourced Provision

Are you passionate about supporting every child’s learning and committed to helping create an inclusive environment where all pupils can thrive? As part of our friendly and supportive team at Newlands Primary Academy, within the University of Chichester Academy Trust, you will play a key role in supporting children in our Resourced Provision for children with autism that is opening in September.

You will work as part of a team to provide personal and learning support to children in the Resourced Provision enabling them to achieve to the best of their ability. You will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, preferably with experience of working within the Early Years Foundation stage, Key Stage 1 and/or a Resourced Provision environment.

At Newlands Primary Academy, we recognise that our children’s success is built on the dedication and expertise of our staff. We are committed to offering meaningful professional development, and this role includes a structured induction and training programme to enable you to support the needs of the children who will be joining our Resourced Provision.

The ideal candidate will:

Be enthusiastic, dynamic, and preferably experienced in working with children with communication differences, sensory sensitivities, social interaction needs and the need for structured approaches to learning.

Demonstrate the ability to form positive, supportive relationships with individuals or groups across a range of settings to help pupils make progress.

Have a flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

Be committed to developing effective partnerships with children, parents, staff and external professionals, promoting excellent behaviour and high standards.

The Trust currently encompasses 17 academies, 2 Inclusion centres, and a School-Centred Initial Teacher Training base, all based in Hampshire, Portsmouth, and West Sussex. Two-Week October Half Term

We have introduced a two-week October half-term across all our schools. This initiative is already making a positive impact, giving staff and pupils a valuable break during the long autumn term, reducing absence through illness, and supporting overall well-being. It also brings greater consistency across our Trust, creating a more connected and efficient way of working. It’s just one example of how we prioritise our people and create a working environment where everyone can thrive.
