About this Role
Join Our Dedicated Team Supporting Early Years Education. Wickham Market Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and skilled teaching assistant in Early Years to join our friendly and supportive staff team. This role is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young children in our mixed Reception and Nursery unit.
Working Hours
33.75 hours per week. 31.25 Teaching Assistant hours and 2.5 Activity Worker Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8:45 - 3:30 (Teaching Assistant)
Tuesday 15:30 - 17:00, Wednesday 7:45 - 8:45 (Activity Worker)
Wickham Market Primary School is a thriving rural primary school set in a beautiful 7-acre site, welcoming approximately 160 pupils, including a Nursery class. Our school community is vibrant and inclusive, offering excellent facilities including an on-site woodland area and dedicated science lab that enriches our pupils’ educational experience.
We are looking for someone who will provide high-quality support to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) unit. Assist in the delivery of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring each child’s individual needs are met. You will also support the planning and preparation of learning activities and promote a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment both indoors and outdoors, including our woodland area. We all strive to work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the vibrant school community. The role will involve attending to children’s personal care and wellbeing as needed.
The ideal candidate would hold Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Paediatric First Aid qualification. A strong understanding of the current EYFS curriculum. Experience working with Reception and Nursery age pupils.
