Teaching Assistant

We would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within our Trust at Great Bookham School. The Role is to support teaching and learning in the classroom and/or pre-school alongside the teacher is a variety of different roles. The position requires good interpersonal skills and a strong desire to develop and support children in all areas of school. 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

- Have a passion for making a difference to the life chances of individuals.

- Have high expectations for all and a great team spirit

- Be willing to get involved with all aspects of school life, which may include lunchtime support.

- Have experience delivering pastoral and/or targeted curriculum interventions.

- Would like school experience prior to pursuing a career in teaching or working with children.

- Hold a Level 3 EYFS qualification

Great Bookham School is part of South Farnham Educational Trust - A multi-academy trust which currently consists of eleven schools.  We also have an associate member of the Trust - St Mary's C of E (Aided) Infant School.

Our thriving School Centred Initial Teacher Training establishment (SCITT) has over 100 trainees and from September 2022 South Farnham School was awarded Teaching School Hub status which is a fantastic accolade for both the school and Trust.

The role is for 32.5hrs a week, Monday to Friday. Term time only (38 weeks a year).
