Job description
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, welcoming team, to provide support for pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan. The successful candidate will have the skills to work alongside the class teacher and SENCo to ensure that the children are accessing the curriculum and making positive progress with their emotional development and their academic learning.
You will have GCSE qualifications in maths and English at a grade C/4 or above, or equivalent, and you will have previous experience of working with children. You’ll ideally have worked with children who have SEND, but most importantly we are looking for someone who is calm, caring and consistent in their approach, who is committed to maintaining our high standards and wants to make a difference, and who is willing to 'go that extra mile’ to better the life chances of our children. The role will also involve supervising children over the lunchtime period.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
