Change Lives, Inspire Growth

Reports to: SEN Manager
Location: Moulton School - Inclusion Department

Are you ready to be the difference?

We don’t just "support" pupils; we nurture, challenge, and inspire them to smash through barriers. We are looking for a suitable high-energy individual to join our team.

The Role

This isn’t about sitting at the back of a classroom. You’ll be on the frontline of student success - running interventions, mentoring 1:1, and managing small groups in our dedicated Inclusion suites. You will work closely with our SENDCo and SEN Managers to turn department policy into real-world results.

What you’ll do:

  • Empower Independence: Help students with SEN complete tasks to the highest standard while fostering self-reliance.
  • Build Relationships: Act as a role model, setting high expectations for behaviour and presentation.
  • Innovate: Deliver specialised intervention programmes that bridge the learning gap.
  • Collaborate: Work with passionate pastoral and SEND teams to ensure every child feels included, safe, and heard.

What we offer:

  • Growth: We provide training and specialism opportunities tailored to our evolving student cohort.
  • Environment: Work in a well-equipped, purpose-built block designed specifically for flexible SEN delivery.
  • Impact: Support a community of 46 EHCP students and 130+ students on our SEND register who truly value your expertise.

The Special Needs department

The department is responsible for supporting students with a range of special needs. Accommodation consists of a purpose-built block of rooms. All rooms are very well equipped and are flexible enough to be used for teaching groups of varying sizes up to twelve. One of the dedicated rooms also serves as an ‘Inclusion Room’ and students with temporary access concerns and students who need time out spend some time there. TAs may support this area. The Special Needs Co-ordinator oversees provision in school, working closely with staff and parents to try to meet individual needs.

Who you are:
You are experienced, suitably qualified, and possess a deep understanding of the SEND Code of Practice. Most importantly, you believe that every child -regardless of their starting point, deserves a champion.

At MSSC, we know that our staff are our most valuable resource. We want you to flourish in your professional life and that’s why we put lots of time and energy into our positive culture and approach to well-being.

It’s not just a job, it’s a career - some of the benefits we offer you:

Enthusiastic and engaged students and a culture of high aspirations.

Extensive CPD training which provides a range of tailored and bespoke CPD opportunities

Competitive salaries and pay progression

A supportive leadership team who are engaged in your professional development and success

Employee Assistance Programme (Counselling, coaching, information and support)

Generous Pension Scheme

Flexible Working Contracts
