Craven Primary Academy · Hull · Kingston upon Hull, City of

Job description

Craven Primary Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 for Key Stage 2 to join our academy in November 2026 on a part time, permanent basis.

Do you want to work for a Trust that is transforming educational outcomes for students in some of the most deprived areas in the North of England? If so, this could be the role for you.

Your new role

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. You may carry out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Please see the attached job description on our website for the essential criteria and more information on the role.

If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience required for this position, then we would very much like to hear from you.

Your new school

With 210 pupils aged between 3 and 11 housed in our academy, Craven is a friendly and vibrant place that serves the community of the Drypool ward, but many children from further afield attend because of our excellent reputation. We are a popular choice of school for the community, and each year our reception is heavily oversubscribed. We pride ourselves on the high levels of academic standards that our children reach, but also the responsible young citizens they develop into during their time with us.

Why join us?

Staff across the trust are talented and enthusiastic, and all contribute to the trust’s success story.

At Craven Primary Academy, we value the continuous professional development of all our employees and recognise that our staff and students are most successful when they feel happy, valued, challenged and supported to achieve their very best.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding the welfare of its students and the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service certificate and checks of the relevant barred list / prohibition lists.

However, our approach depends on the job, and whether it is covered by, or exempt from, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
