We are a wonderful, inclusive school with a strong sense of community, and we are seeking a caring, patient and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to a child with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of working with children or young people, preferably within an educational or SEND setting.

  • The ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional when faced with challenging or emotionally demanding situations.
  • A consistent and positive approach to behaviour support.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND, is desirable but not essential.
  • A team player who is eager to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils.

What we offer:

  • A supportive and welcoming school environment.
  • Training opportunities to further develop your skills in SEND.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our pupils and their families.
  • Support and guidance from experienced teaching and SEND staff.
